Principal’s Note

It is hard to believe that, what started off as a desire of a mother to give her child the best foundation for his formative years, is now 17 years later, a successful community school. It was so good to go down “memory lane” and reminisce about how the school started and what it is today.
I remember the first six children that enrolled, one of whom was my son M.Mohsin. It all started with one classroom being my garage. I was the only teacher. Today we have four classrooms with a compliment of ten staff and approximately eighty learners.
It has been a beautiful journey thus far, particularly discovering the Montessori Method in practise. It is so encouraging to see how well our ex-learners are progressing in their schooling and university careers. The very first child to enrol at the school is now a first year B.Com law student at the University of Stellenbosch. She obtained seven distinctions in her matric year and was awarded a full bursary.
We use the Montessori Method and its principles and also educate our children in any other way that benefits them.
I SALUTE YOU – MARIA MONTESSORI!
I would like to thank all parents of the past and present for your belief in us and your continued support. It is this that has contributed to our growth. We have a fantastic set of teachers who are dedicated and put their “best foot forward” at all times.
Our governing body are stalwarts and continue to move the school forward in every way. My sincere gratitude to you.
We look forward to further growth, development and success for our children, our teachers and the school.

Yours in Education
